The state mandates that operators of specific watercraft must have a valid licence to legally use them in public waterways and the open sea. Here’s a concise guide on acquiring your jetski licence in Queensland:
A statement of competency (SoC), issued by a registered training facility after completing both theoretical and practical exams, is essential for obtaining your licences. Port Douglas Marine Licences offers an efficient path to this crucial document:
With over five years of experience, our team at Port Douglas Marine Licences has been committed to promoting safe boating practices. We go beyond basic training by imparting extensive knowledge about maritime conditions in Port Douglas, fostering a deep respect for water safety.
Your training day begins with a theory exam followed by practical training on a jetski. You will be guided through a series of exercises designed to build confidence in maneuvering the jetski. Once you have mastered these skills, you will proceed to the assessment phase, which includes all competencies covered throughout the day.
We’ll proudly issue you with a certificate of Competency that you will then take to your local Queensland Transport office pass on your certificate, pay the prescribed fee and be issued with your marine licence.
